Is this a joke? Fiction? You really don’t get it? You broke the sacred trust in your marriage by treating her with open, public disrespect. Encouraged your children to join in the belittling. Then you literally abandoned her in the driveway.

That is NOT how you handle little marital annoyances. That is passive aggressive contempt. I bet she felt so abandoned, betrayed and hurt. You can’t fix trust when it gets broken like that. She will never see you the same. But you’re lucky: I would have filed divorce papers that day.
