My partner is 16 years younger. I also did not go looking for him, and in fact, resisted my feelings for a several months because of our age difference. However, I found men my own age to be far too old at heart for me, as well.

We've now been together 6 years, and he is a wonderful stepfather to my teenage daughter. Sometimes we are at different places in life being a generation apart, and there are conflicts of interest because of that, but we work it out with respect. We are the love of each other's lives! Plus there are advantages to having a younger partner as you grow older: He keeps me young!
