Wow, I’ve never expected tingles from a first date. I’ve expected to get to know a stranger. I don’t try to impress at all because I can’t keep up that behavior forever and at some point they will see me as I really am most of the time. (Sometimes I don’t even put on makeup for a first date.) I also don’t want to be purposely impressed for the same reason. Most of my first dates are walks with a coffee or tea. No pretense or artifice. No money. No dressing up. Friendship first. This usually weeds out the players. If a person makes it through those first walks with me, we usually last 5+ years. 🤷🏻‍♀️
